Yesterday was productive day. Two hour road trip down to Nashville to get Penny into the vet (annual exam, shots), a West Marine and Trader Joe’s shopping spree (we have missed you TJs!) and Carmax bought our Subaru.
We ended the day at a restaurant called Freight House in Paducah, KY. Paducah is a large city compared to where we have been the past few weeks in Grand Rivers which has a population of ~400. The food was delicious and shared with great company. This restaurant would have stood up to those in Portland but sits in a town of just 25,000 people.
Today we headed out of the Green Turtle Bay Marina with our sister boat – Forever Friday onto the Tennessee River. While we have been in and out of Green Turtle Bay the past few weeks we are heading further south today than before and plan to keep going south so this is our first official day on The Great Loop as loopers. Tonight when we drop anchor it seems only fitting that we open some champagne.
